The Ghana Armed Forces has began its 2024 enlistment process for Regular Career Course and Short Service Commission Officers.
Available Arms Of Service:
- Regular Officer Prospects – Army
- Regular Officer Candidates – Navy
- Regular Officer Applicants- Airforce
- Short Service Commission – Army/Navy/Airforce
Basic Eligibility:
- You must be a citizen of Ghana with good character and conduct
- Applicants must not be bonded by employment, education or training of any sort
- Prospective cadets should not be married
- Must not be under 18 by 31st March 2025
- Candidates should be medically fit by GAF standards
- Those applying should be able to pass the Pre Joining Fitness Test
- Be at least 1.68 meters (5’6″) tall for men and 1.60 meters (5’4″) tall for women. For Military Police alone, applicants must be at least 1.75 meters (5’9″) tall for men and 1.70 meters (5′ 7″) tall for women.
- Ensure that you have six (6) passes in your BECE, English and Maths inclusive
- Your WASSCE results should have six (6) credits including Maths, Science and English language (all six credits should not be less than C6)
- If you have SSCE, you should also have 6 passes, Core Mathematics and Science included (You six scores should not be less than grade D)
- GCE Levels “O” and “A” Five (5) credits (not less than 6) in the GCE “O” Level in English and Mathematics, and at least a D in three other subjects and the General Paper at the GCE “A” Level.

Application Guidelines For The Ghana Armed Forces Enlistment:
- Carefully read through the requirements to ensure you qualify
- Buy your scratch card for the online application at a designated post office for GH¢350
- Afterwards, click on the “Apply Now” on this page: https://apply.mil.gh/ , fill in your scratch card serial and pin code details
- After that, choose your preferred arm of service and your highest educational level and click on the submit button
- Next, go ahead to select your desired branch and enter your bio data and academic details. You are also required to upload passport sized photo of dimension(200×180) pixels and then submit
- Finally, print out a copy of your application summary (it contains information on your application ID and other important data)
- The closing date for online submission is Friday, 11th October, 2024.
Important Notice:
The military wishes to let the public know that, individuals who present themselves as middlemen, agents or intermediaries asking for money in order to help candidates, should be reported to the nearest military installation or Police Station. The public is also warned against paying money to agents with the hope of securing enlistment in the force. Those who pay such monies are equally culpable in the fraudulent act.
