The Ghana Air Force Arm of Service is also advertising a number of vacancies. They are looking individuals with specific qualifications to train for some under-listed roles.
Vacancies And Requirements For Ghana Air Force:
In addition to the the general criteria, those applying should have the qualifications listed under the various branches:
a. Air Branch (Pilot and Air Traffic Control Operations)
Hold an initial Degree (not less than Second Class Lower in one of these areas:
- Pilot: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Science (Must have read science at the Senior High School level and Commercial/Airline Transport Pilot License
- Air Traffic Control Operations: Aerodrome/ Approach Control License, Physics, Mathematics/Chemistry/Statistics and Computer Science (Must have read science at the Senior High School level)
b. Supply Branch
Have a bachelor’s degree with not less than a Second Class Lower honors in any of the following:
- Administration (Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Purchasing).
- Commerce.
- Economics.
- Logistics/Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Professional Qualification- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)/Chartered Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management(CISCM).

c. Administration Branch
Possess a First Degree not below Second Class Lower Business Administration in the following fields:
- Commerce (Management).
- Arts or Social Science.
- Business Management.
- Public Administration.
- Economics.
- Management Studies.
- Human Resource MAnagement.
- Professional Qualification – Institute of Chartered Seccretaries and Administrators – (ICSA)
d. Engineering Branch
Candidates should have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower.
- Mechanical: Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering
- Avionics: Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering.
- Engineer Corps: Civil Engineering, Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical/ Agricultural Engineering, Building Technology/Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, Geomatic/Geodetic Engineering, Structural Engineering, Agricultural Engineering.

e. Ordnance Corps (Base Ammunition Depot Only)
Just like the other branches, you must have an undergraduate certificate not below Second Class Lower in addition to the basic requirements:
- Chemistry/Biochemistry.
- Industrial Chemistry/Physics.
- Chemical Engineering.
- Telecommunication Engineering.
- Statistics.
- Mathematics.
- Certification in Ammunition Technology/Explosive Ordnance Disposal Level 3 will be an added advantage
f. Education Corps.
In addition to the basic criteria, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower in any of the following languages:
- Language Translation/Interpretation in French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, German and Chinese.
- German and Portuguese as third language may be preferable.
g. Public Relations
In addition to meeting the prerequisites, candidates must hold a First Degree in one of the following languages at a level no lower than Second Class Lower
- Communication Studies or Fine Arts (NAFTI)
- Public Relations
- Journalism
