Army Branches & Their Qualifications:
All applicants for the various sections must fulfill the general eligibility criteria in addition to the requirements for the various divisions below:
a. Infantry/Armor/Artillery
Possess at least a First Degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower honors from an accredited university.
b. Signal Corps
1st Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors from an accredited university or institution in one of the following fields:
- Computer Science
- Computer/Software Engineering
- Instrumentation/Systems/Network Engineering
- Network/Software Engineering
- Cyber/Forensic Security
- Network Security
- Information Technology Systems Auditing
- Information Systems Science
- Management Information Systems
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Information and Communication Technology
- Telecommunications Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Radio/Satellite Communication Engineering
- Geomatic Engineering
c. Combat Engineers
Bsc Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors from a recognized university or institution in one of the following areas:
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical/Renewable Energy Engineering
- Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering
- Building Technology, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying
- Geomatic/Geodetic Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Project Management
d. Electrical/Electronic Engineers
Hold at least a Second Class Lower honors degree in one of the following disciplines from an accredited university/institution:
- BSc Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- BTech Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- BSc Instrumentation Engineering
- BSc Biomedical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science Computer Engineering
e. Mechanical Engineers
First Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors (BSc)from an accredited institution in one of the following:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Agricultural Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
f. Ordnance Corps (Base Ammunition Depot Only)
Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in one of the following fields from a recognized university:
- Chemistry/Biochemistry
- Industrial Chemistry/Physics
- Chemical Engineering
- Telecommunication Engineering
- Statistics
- Mathematics
- Certification in Ammunition Technology or Explosive Ordnance Disposal at Level 3 is an added advantage.
g. Education Corps
1st Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in one of the following languages from an accredited university or institution:
- Language Translation or Interpretation in French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, German, and Chinese
- Knowledge of German or Portuguese as a third language is an additional asset.
h. Public Relations
Bachelor’s Degree with at least Second Class Lower honors in one of the following disciplines from a recognized university or institution:
- Communication Studies or Fine Arts (NAFTI)
- Public Relations
- Journalism
