President Joe Biden’s statement on the Russia-Ukraine issue
After launching war on Ukraine, and sending a terrifying message to the West’s allies by the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Russia then went on to launch a military attack on Ukraine where explosions were reported in Kiev, Ukraine’s capital.
‘To anyone who would consider intervening from the outside — if you do, you will suffer consequences greater than any you have encountered in history,’ President Putin said in an early-morning address in Moscow on Thursday, February 24.
President Joe Biden the US president has finally spoken by saying, ‘The prayers of the entire world are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unjustifiable attack by Russian military troops’.
President Putin has chosen a deliberate war that will result in massive human suffering and loss of lives. The United States and its allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive manner to the death and damage that this attack will bring. ‘The world will hold Russia accountable,’ he concluded in his statement.
Biden went on to say that he would be monitoring the situation from the White House for the rest of the night, and that he would receive regular updates from his security staff.
Today, President Joe Biden will meet with his G7 counterparts.
