Reactions have sparked on social media as People Are Selling Their Toes For Thousands Of Dollars in Zimbabwe.

News reaching Everydaynewsgh has it that some People in Zimbabwe have allegedly resorted to selling their toes for thousands of dollars due to high living costs and the government’s failure to create employment opportunities.

One interesting fact about this activity is that, the larger toes the higher you earn. Reports have it that a large toe goes for $40,000 (N16 million naira), while a middle toe costs (US$25,000) and a smaller one goes for $20,000 (N16 million naira) (N8 million dollars).

It is alleged on social media that people  sell their toes for money rituals. In addition, some internet users say it’s the work of a cult that wants the toes in exchange for ten years of wealth in compensation for the loss of a relative in the process.

Since last Thursday, when word broke that local sellers, particularly those at Ximex Mall in the nation’s capital couldn’t walk barefoot after selling off their toes, social media has been saturated with similar stories. Other stories state that after you agree to have a toe cut off, no one else is allowed to see your leg. However, according to a close source within Ximex, the the story circulating is a complete joke.
