The management of a University in Nigerian has placed a ban on students who drive their Personal vehicles to Campus.
University Bans Students from Driving Personal Vehicles on Campus. The administration of Nigeria’s Abia State University (ABSU) imposed an indefinite ban on students driving to school, ostensibly to reduce the richness and ostentation that intimidates academics.
The college issued a strong warning to students in a notice issued by the registrar, Acho Elendu, Ph.D., with the assistance of official organizations on campus, to stop showing off their money and parading cars on campus.
This clearly implies that with this new directive, all students and students with personal cars and motor bikes will not be able to drive them on campus but rather walk or use the services of public transportation.
Any student who violates this guideline will face severe consequences, according to the statement.
“Management of Abi State University, Uturu has banned the use of personal vehicles by students and flagrant display of wealth on campus,
Any student who violates this directive, which is in the interest of the University community, shall face severe disciplinary action. Please, be guided” The Management of Abi State University Stated in a statement dated February 1, 2022.
For whatever reason the school decided to make such a decision, some netizens have argued that this new development from the University is harsh. Others have also argued that they made such a decision due to reasons best known to them.
