In some cases, the poor youth may learn to accept their fate and sink further into the morass of poverty.
In furtherance, the will power to be financially successful by admirers or mentees (youths) might be lost because the hope to achieve financial breakthrough one day might seem unattainable or impossible.
This optimism is lost due to the daily fight for survival.
