The University of Saskatchewan (USask) is here with a list of great and exciting scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year. The university has several scholarship schemes that students can choose from based on their eligibility.
The institution values academic achievements and personal accomplishments. Students are encouraged to explore the various bursaries that you may qualify for.
Scholarship Schemes At University of Saskatchewan
1. Guaranteed Entrance Scholarships
These financial aids are given to students who have achieved academic success. For this award, those applying for admission will be automatically considered. To fall within the category of people to be considered, you must have the following:
- Students who are currently in high school and plan to further their studies at USask
- High school graduates who have little to no post-secondary school education
2. Best and Brightest Entrance Scholarships
This award is the most valuable opportunity offered by at the aforementioned institution. They are renewable and awarded to students who have demonstrated strong academic performance, leadership skills, and have made significant contributions to their school and community. You will be considered if:
- you complete and submit your application for admission by 1st December
- complete and submit the online application for the scholarship here by 15th December.
There are a list of different award under the Best and Brightest Entrance bursary:
- George and Marsha Ivany President’s First & Best Scholarships. The value of the award is $40,000 ($10,000/year over four years)
- Chancellors’ Scholarships. Recipients will receive $30,000 ($7,500/year over four years)
- U of S Entrance Scholarships. Scholars will earn $24,000 ($6,000/year over four years)
- Edwards Undergraduate Scholarships
Value: $24,000 ($6,000/year over four years) - College of Agriculture and Bioresources Renewable Entrance Scholarships. $12,000 ($3,000/year over four years) is the value of this award
3. Competitive Entrance Awards
Students from diverse backgrounds are eligible to apply. Academic accomplishment, financial need, and school/community involvement will determine eligibility. Awards highlight backgrounds, club contributions, music, and athletics.
New students are encouraged to:
- complete their application for admission by February 15.
- Additionally, remember to fill out and submit the online application for the awards by March 1 here

4. International Baccalaureate (IB) awards
Students who complete the IB Diploma Programme will automatically be considered for these awards when they are admitted. The last day to apply for admission and be considered is February 15th.
5. International student awards
The awards are specifically designed for international students and are given based on their academic achievements. The last day to apply for admission and be considered is February 15th.
