The US Embassy in Accra is seeking applications from eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Voucher Examiner. The schedule for this position is full time 40 hours per week.
Duties:
The incumbent serves under the supervision of the Supervisory Voucher Examiner-SVE and works to ensure invoices from vendors are paid timely and accurately. S/he is responsible for examining all vouchers/invoices, including the most difficult and complex invoices for goods, services, grants and other transactions for the Department of State which includes serviced and non-serviced agencies (INL, DHS, CDC, ICASS, IBB, LEGATT, NAMRU, DEA, NAMRU, etc). The incumbent uses the Regional Financial Management System – RFMS, Integrated Logistics Management System-ILMS, Global GeT – e2 and COAST to process vouchers.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
Experience:
- A minimum of two years of work experience in basic accounting, auditing, cashiering, management or administration in an international organization, NGO, government agency or private enterprise is required.

Job Knowledge:
- Must have general knowledge of basic accounting procedures and management, as well as Ghanaian financial rules and regulations which pertain to Embassy business.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of Post Secondary Education in Accounting, Business, Administration, Management, Audit, Finance or Professional level I ACCA/ICA/CIMA is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluent English language (reading, speaking and writing) is required. Good working knowledge of at least one Ghanaian language is required. (Language proficiency will be tested)
