Ghanaian rising star, Black Sherif has been sued for a breach of contract allegedly. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chavis Consult, Mr. Shadrach Agyei Owusu, has filed a lawsuit against the most sought-after artiste in Ghana, Black Sherif, also known in private life as Mohammed Ismail Sharif.
Yesterday 11th April, 2022, a Writ Of Summon suggesting that Mr Agyei Owusu, Black Sherif’s investor, is seeking the court to stop the man of the moment from performing at events without his permission. He actually wants the court to grant him an order of injunction to stop the Kwaku the traveller hitmaker and his associates and agents from performing at events or entering into agreements to sing without the knowing of Blacko’s investor.
Additionally, Shadrach is praying the court to grant him authority to preserve all funds derived through Black Sherif’s online streams. He is also requesting that a receiver be appointed to collect the proceeds of all cash generated by Blacko through his music.
This Writ of Summon was issued after Blacko signed a deal with Empire Music’s distribution wing, without his permission. Emipire Music is an America Record Label. It has also signed the likes of Kidi, Gyakie, Fameye, Yaw Tog and other young talents with the aim of pushing their music and selling their talents to the world.
Black Sherif is being sued by the investor because he believes the musician has abandoned him after all of the investments he has made to advance his music career.
As of now, Black Sherif has not to addressed this issue.
