Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), the Kumasi based institution is ranked 12th while U.S News and World Report ranks the nation’s premier University, University of Ghana 29th on the continent of Africa. This places KNUST ahead of University of Ghana as the best in Ghana so far.
With a global score of 49.9, KNUST is placed 587 globally and 12 on the African continent. The University ranks 484 on the globe in Social Sciences and Public Health scoring 31.1, and again ranks 277 in the world with a score of 56.2 in Clinical Medicine.
University of Ghana on the other side ranking 916 globally, did better in Social Sciences and Public Health than KNUST as it is placed 326 in the world. However, University of Ghana occupies the 566th position in the world in the subject of Clinical Medicine. This clearly makes KNUST a preferred choice for Clinical Medicine than University of Ghana. University of Cape Coast is sadly missing in the rankings.
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) being ranked the best in the country and 12th best on the continent maintans the institution as a citadel of knowledge in the country.
