1-year top-up M.Phil., Catering and Hospitality

i. M.Tech. in Catering and Hospitality and equivalent degrees
ii. Must pass an interview

Master of Philosophy in Fashion Design and Textiles – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess B.Sc, B.A, B.Ed, B.Tech. or related degrees in Fashion Design, Textiles and
  Home Economics with at least second class (lower division).
• Possess M.Tech. in Fashion Design and Textiles Education.
• Possess a Master of Technology Fashion Design and Textiles qualification to be enrolled in the second year of the Master of Philosophy in Fashion Design and Textiles
  program and may be required to audit some courses.

M.Phil., Construction (Technology Option) – Full-time

M.Phil., Construction (Management Option) – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Technology, or Technical, or any
  Engineering/Building disciplines such as Building Technology, Architecture, Surveying,
  Civil Engineering, and Project Management.
• Possess a good bachelor’s degree (second class or better).
• Ph.D. in Construction (Technology Option) – Full-time
• Ph.D. in Construction (Management Option) – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess Master’s degree in Construction Technology, or Technical, or any
  Engineering/Building disciplines such as Building Technology, Architecture, Surveying,
  Civil Engineering, Project Management, and other related areas.
• Possess a Master’s degree in other related areas and shall be required to audit some courses. Applicants may be required to attend an interview. Admitted students will be required to register as Ph.D. candidates.

Applicants must:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in Technology, or Technical, Forestry and other related
  areas. Good Bachelor’s Degree (second class or better).
• Possess a third-class bachelor’s degree and should pass an entrance examination
  and an interview.

M.Phil., Wood Science and Technology (top-up) – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a Master’s degree in Technology, Technical, or Sciences.
• Pass an admission selection interview
• Be required to register for some courses and conduct their research work (Thesis) as
  determined by the Faculty Graduate Board

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Wood Science and Technology – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a Master’s degree in Wood Science, Wood Technology, Forestry and other
  related areas.
• Possess a Master’s degree in other related areas and shall be required to audit some
  courses.
• Be required to attend an interview. Admitted students will be required to register as
  Ph.D. candidates.

1-Year top-up M.Phil., Mechanical Engineering Technology Programme

Applicant must:

• Possess GPA of 3.0 or better in M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Eng Electrical and Electronics
  Engineering/Technology or related areas such as Telecommunication and Physics.
• Pass the selection interview.

M.Phil., Mechanical Engineering Technology – Full-Time

Applicant must:

• Possess a B.Sc., B.Ed, B.Tech, B.Eng in Mechanical Engineering Technology degree
  with at least Second Class (Upper Division)
• Pass the selection interview
• Submit a Statement of Research Interest

Applicant must:

• Possess GPA of 3.0 or better in M.Tech, MSc, M.Eng Mechanical Engineering or

Applicant must:

• Possess B.Sc., B.Ed, B.Tech, B.Eng in Automotive Engineering Technology degrees
  with at least Second Class (Upper Division)

Applicant must:

• Possess GPA of 3.0 or better in M.Tech, MSc, MEng Automotive Engineering or
  related areas.

M.Sc., Information Technology Education – Weekend

Applicants must:

• Possess a good bachelor’s degree (second class lower division or better) in
  Information Technology Education (ITE), Information Technology (IT), Information and
  Communications Technology (ICT), Computer Science, Mathematics, and any other
  relevant bachelor’s degree in Computing.
• Possess a Post-graduate diploma in Information Technology, Information and
  Communications Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, and any other relevant
  post graduate diploma in Computing.
• Pass the selection interview organized by the department.

M.Phil., Mathematics Education – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a good bachelor’s degree, not below Second-Class Lower Division in
  Mathematics Education or mathematics from a recognized Institution.
• Pass a competitive examination/interview conducted by the University.

1-Year top-up M.Phil., Mathematics Education – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess C.G.P.A. of not less than 2.5 from M.Ed. (Mathematics Education or other
  related areas from the University of Education, Winneba or other recognized universities).
• Pass a selection interview at the Departmental level.

M.Phil., Teaching and Education Learning – Full-Time
a. Education studies graduates:

Applicants must:

• Possess a good Bachelor’s degree in education at second class lower or better.
  Teaching experience is an advantage.

Non-education studies graduate applicants:

Applicants must:

• Possess a good bachelor’s degree in a specialized subject at second class lower or better plus a Post

Graduate Diploma in Education or Diploma in Education.

Applicants must:

• Pass a selection interview organized by the Department.

Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) – Educational Leadership – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a good bachelor’s degree (Second Class, lower division, or better) from any
  recognized University in a relevant field of study;
• Possess a Master of Arts/Education degree in the relevant field of study may apply
  for the MPhil program in Educational Leadership. Such applicants may be
  required to do the MPhil program within one year;
• Pass an entrance examination and/or an interview to be organized by the
  Department.

NB: In addition to the above requirements, applicants should possess a B.Ed.
Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) as a pre-requisite for
admission.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) – Educational Leadership – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a research Master’s degree in the relevant field of study.
• Have obtained a cumulative average of 3.0 and above or equivalent grade in the
  course work component of the Master’s degree and a grade B or above in the
  research project.
• Have a degree in Education or Diploma in Education.
• Pass a selection interview to be organized by the Department.

• Possess MSc./MA/MBA or any other relevant field of study in Business

Master of Philosophy – Business Management – Full-Time

Applicants must:

• Possess a good First degree (at least 2nd Class Lower Division) from any University
  recognized by the Academic Board of AAMUSTED or from any institution accredited
  by GTEC
• Possess a good First degree in Management and/or Business Management from
  recognized institution of higher learning
• Have a good MSc/MA/MBA in a discipline such as HRM/OB, Management,
  Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics,
  Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, and related disciplines.
• Obtained a CGPA of at least 2.5 in his/her coursework

Master of Philosophy Business Management – Weekend/Evening

Applicants must:

• Possess a good First degree (at least 2nd Class Lower Division) from any
  University recognized by the Academic Board of AAMUSTED or from any
  an institution accredited by GTEC
• Possess a good first degree in Management and/or Business Management from
  recognized institution of higher learning
• Possess a good MSc/MA/MBA in a discipline such as HRM/OB, Management,
  Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics,
  Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, and related disciplines.
• Obtained a CGPA of at least 2.5 in his/her coursework

Applicants must:

• Possess a good First degree (at least 2nd Class Lower Division) in Accounting
  Education or B.ED. Accounting from any University recognized by the Academic
  Board of the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial
  Development or from any institution accredited by the National Accreditation Board of
  Ghana.
• Possess a good First degree in Accounting and/or Finance from a recognized
  university and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or its equivalent.

MBA (Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour) – Weekend/Evening

MBA (Marketing) Weekend/Evening

Applicants must:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree with at least a 2nd Class Lower Division in any field of
  study from a recognized institution.
• Pass a selection interview.
• In exceptional cases, applicants with 3rd Class Division who are already employed in
  Business-related fields and demonstrating the capacity to cope with the programme may
  be considered for admission. Such applicants must write and pass a selection
  examination and an interview.

Master of Business Administration – Finance Option – Weekend/Evening

Master of Business Administration-Accounting Option – Weekend/Evening

Applicants must:

• Possess a second-class honors degree, or its equivalent, in finance, accounting,
  economics, and other business-related subjects. Applications may also be considered
  from graduates in non-business areas with strong quantitative backgrounds.
• Be a professionally qualified accountant and a member of one of the Accountancy
  bodies constituting the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
  In addition to requirements (i) or (ii) above, applicants must:
• Have at least two years of relevant experience in the private or public sector
• Be computer literate
• Pass a selection interview.

Specializations: Agronomy/Crop Physiology, Soil Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology,
Plant Breeding

• Possess B.Sc. or B.Ed. degree in Agriculture with a minimum of Second Class Lower.

• Possess Environmental Health and Sanitation,
• Possess Public Health
• Possess Water Supply and Sanitation,
• Possess Occupational Health and Safety,
• Environmental sciences and related field – Environmental Science, Integrated

• Possess engineering and related Programmes with a minimum of second-class lower
  division.
• Possess Second class lower division degree must have at least two years post qualification working experience and shall be required to pass an interview before being admitted.

• Possess Third class but extensive experience of at least six years in relevant field may be considered.
