Lionel Messi has expressed regret over his unapproved trip to Saudi Arabia which led to him being suspended by PSG. This came through a broadcast on social media where Messi apologized for his actions.
The French club disciplined Messi after his sponsored trip. The Parisian Star will not participate in the games against Troyes and Ajaccio.
Messi has apologized to his teammates and the club. In his apology, he claimed he thought he had a day off and couldn’t cancel the trip. He recorded a video on social media in which he expressed his apologies and is now waiting for the club’s decision.
PSG’s suspension of Messi has led to speculation that he may not play for the club again. There are only three games remaining after his ban ends. There are rumours that the Argentine star could exit the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season. His potential destinations include a sensational Barcelona return, Inter Miami and Saudi Arabian side, Al Hilal.
PSG supporters protested against Messi and Neymar outside the club’s headquarters, which the French champions called “shameful”.
