During the first leg of their AFCON double-header qualifier, the Black Stars plan to pay tribute to Christian Atsu, who passed away.
Henry Asante Twum, the communications head of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), confirmed this during an interview with reporters on Original FM’s Super Sports Show.
Asante Twum stated that the Black Stars players are saddened by Atsu’s passing. Hence they will honor their late teammate during the match against Angola.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has scheduled two matches between Ghana and Angola. These are for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The first game will take place on March 23, 2023, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The second match will take place on March 27, 2023, at Estadio 11 de Novembro.
Ghana is currently in first place in Group E with four points. Drawn 1-1 with the Central African Republic and won 3-0 against Madagascar in previous games.
The team’s two games against Angola will be a significant test for Chris Hughton, the new coach.
