Willis attended Penns Grove High School, where he was dubbed “Buck-Buck” by his classmates.
He joined the theatrical group, learned that performing on stage helped him overcome stuttering, and was eventually elected student council president.
He enrolled in the Drama Program at Montclair State University, where he was cast in a production of Cat in a Hot Tin Roof.
