In pursuit of strengthening the creative sector, New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful and Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong intends to establish a specialized fund for constructing cutting-edge studios across the nation once he takes office as Ghana’s president.
Ohene spoke on the absence of high-quality studio facilities in the country. He also talked about the pressing need for investment in the creative arts sector. This investment would empower artists and producers to produce excellent music videos and cinematic productions.
At Starr FM with Bola Ray on October 5, 2023, the influential politician laid out his comprehensive vision for Ghana’s entertainment industry, prominently featuring the creation of top-tier studios.
Kennedy Agyapong outlined his plans and ideas as quoted further down:
“Let me be clear: we need to construct exceptional studios right here. It’s frustrating that, for quality music or shows, people often go abroad, to Dubai or South Africa. During my presidency, we’ll establish outstanding studios here. Let others come; we’re all human beings,” Agyapong passionately stated.
After stating his plans, Kennedy Agyapong made us understand how fundamental it is to have a fund purposely to support the creative arts industry, considering the faced that substantial money is required for producing top-notch movies and songs.
