As the Warehouse Keeper at Olam Agri’s Paddy/Rice Stocks your job is to oversee the efficient storage, inventory management, and dispatching of stocks from his location to the final destination. The role is located in the Greater Accra Region.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, weigh and record incoming paddy/rice from various points.
- Maintain accurate records of paddy stock levels, including batch numbers, receipt dates, and quantities.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and reconciliations to minimize discrepancies.
2. Storage and Handling:
- Organize and allocate storage space for paddy, considering factors like impurities and moisture control.
- Ensure proper handling and stacking of paddy/ rice bags to prevent damage and maintain quality.
- Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles when dispatching paddy.
3. Quality Control:
- Monitor paddy quality, identifying any signs of contamination.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the warehouse to preserve paddy quality.
- Report any quality issues to the relevant authorities or suppliers as needed.
4. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Comply with relevant regulations and standards for storage and handling.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff in safety procedures.

Qualifications:
- First degree in procurement or equivalent; additional education or certifications in warehousing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a warehouse keeper or similar role, with a focus on food storage preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
