Kennedy Agyapong, vying for the NPP flagbearer position, emphasized his pivotal role in the party’s election victories.
During an interview on Tamale FM, the Assin Central Member of Parliament revealed he had been urged to withdraw but remains dedicated to the party.
Kennedy Agyapong firmly believes the NPP’s electoral successes hinge on his active involvement and dedication. He claims that he is the man NPP need to secure a victory in the upcoming 2024 general election.
He stated, “The NPP can’t win elections without me. Do you know how many people are imploring me not to withdraw? You can’t imagine the sums they’ve offered me to step down. If I do, we’ll lose, and I can’t selfishly take that money and abandon those who’ve sacrificed.”
Kennedy Agyapong warned the NPP not to sideline or discard him after the flagbearer election, emphasizing the need for mutual support.
He said, “How could the NPP abandon me? If they do, they’ll lose the elections. We’re interdependent.”
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong added, “The NPP often uses and abandons. I won’t let them discard me anymore. I won’t sacrifice for the NPP, my family, and future generations to face humiliation”.
