The Ghana High Commission in South Africa has confirmed a troubling case involving a Ghanaian Pentecost church in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In the course of a live church service, suspected robbers armed with guns raided the Pentecost church, robbed the members and kidnapped a deacon.
As of now, the whereabout of the deacon remains unknown. This took place on Sunday, October 29, 2023. This Ghana’s High Commission in South Africa exhibited empathy and is willing to help in finding the man of God.
In a notice issued on October 30, 2023, the High Commission stated that it will collaborate with South African law enforcement agencies to achieve this goal.
The Commission advised the Ghanaian community in South Africa to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and well-being.
The Commission and South African authorities are working diligently to bring this situation to a resolution. They categorically mentioned that the safety of their compatriots is of paramount priority. We should all remind ourselves of some of the problems foreigners encounter when the go to other people’s country and take the needed precautions to ensure safety.
