Ghana Police interdicts two police officers for acting unprofessionally

The Ghana Police service has interdicted two of its police officers for acting unprofessionally in public, an act which has been recorded and making waves on the internet.

The Police Service, in a recent press release has stated to confirm that the two Police Officers, PW/Inspr Martha Ackah and No.6233 PW/Sergeant Felicia Ocran of the Asokwa Divisional MTTD, Kumasi were seen in a viral video acting unprofessionally.

According to them, the officers have been interdicted to allow for a thorough investigation into the case, in line with Police internal disciplinary procedures after which they will be prosecuted.

What Actually Happened

These two Police Officers in were seen in a video going viral taking money from someone in a commercial vehicle after the vehicle was somewhat stopped for a possible usual check by the police.

The Ghana Police used the Opportunity to urge the affected victims to come forward and support the them in investigation to take the officers through the due process of the law as the two police officers have been interdicted for acting unprofessionally.
