Francisca Lamini of Keta SHTS has made history in recent times and she is now the first girl to qualify for the NSMQ finals in the past eight years of this quiz competition.
In 2013, After a female student appears in the quiz competition between St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and Mfantsiman Girls’ SHS, where St. Thomas Aquinas win, no female has ever qualified to be in the finals until yesterday.
Francisca Lamini of Keta SHTS Makes History
Francisca Lamini has been hailed as the young female student who has made history by breaking this drought.
Not only did she make history with her appearance as a female, but together with her teammates, they made history for the Volta Region and Keta SHTS in the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contest.
The school, Keta SHTS made their first ever appearance at the grand finale of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz competition.
Keta SHTS defeated the Wesley Girls’ Senior High School and the Tamale Senior High School at the Semi-Final to booked a place at the grand finale for the first time in the history of the Volta Region.
Although they failed to win as Prempeh College won the grand finale of 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), however, Keta Senior High Technical School especially Francisca Lamini has really made history.
Reputable female Personalities like Gifty Anti and Delay has hailed Francisca Lamini for breaking that long record & making history.
To them, this is a source of encouragement to all females.
Although Francisca and Keta SHTS couldn’t win the competition, they are very very proud of her.

Prempeh College Wins NSMQ 2021; They’ve emerged as Winners of the Finals over Presec Legon and Keta SHTS in the NSMQ 2021 competition.
Prempeh College won the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ 2021) on November 26th, 2021 for the 5th time.
NSMQ 2021 Final Points of the Grand Finale
- Prempeh College: 53 Points
- Presec Legon: 49 Points
- Keta SHTS: 30 Points
Prempeh won with 53 points as against 49 by the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC.)
Keta Senior High and Technical School (KETASCO) came third with 30 points
