The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani is announcing its latest recruitment for a Director Of Internal Audit. The position which would become vacant effective 1st August, 2023.
The position holder shall be the Head of the Internal Audit Directorate of the University. He/She shall, in accordance with the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 (Act 658) and in conformity with standards and procedures provided by the Agency set up under the said Act, carry out periodic internal audit of the University to the Audit Committee in accordance with the Public Financial management Act, 2016 (Act 12)
Qualification Required & Experience
The Applicant must:
- Possess both professional qualification and relevant postgraduate degree
- Be a member of any relevant professional Accounting and Finance body, preferably:
- Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA)
- Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
- Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIJA)
- Certified internal auditor (CIA)
- Have served in a University or analogous institution as Principal Internal Auditor/Deputy /internal Auditor for a minimum of 3 years Or a minimum of 15 years post professional qualification experience in university or highly reputable and recognised practicing auditing / accounting firm, industry, commerce and/or public service
