Good news! The 2024 IST Internship Program is accepting applications. This great opportunity begins in Austria from May 15 to September 15. However, a scientific intern can be hired for a maximum duration of 1 year.
The director of a research group (a professor or assistant professor) or staff scientists choose the candidates, and the appointment is contingent upon the availability of money to cover the scientific intern’s salary and formal confirmation from the Academic Affairs division.

Criteria:
- If you are a student studying or have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in natural or computer sciences, mathematics, or a related field, you can apply for a scientific intern position.
- Applicants should have a good understanding of the research project they wish to choose.
- You must ensure that your profile and research interests align with the research topics of the groups.
- Ensure to submit a complete application as incomplete one will not be taken into account
- Candidates should have great interest in the field they want to select
- Transferable/related research experience or technological abilities and know-how would be extremely advantageous.
- Prior to your application, you must not be an employee to another company
Perks:
- As an intern, you will receive a monthly salary of at least EUR 1,184 gross
- Your health insurance and travel cost will be covered
