If you are looking for a paid internship, then FAO has one for you. It is an educational opportunity designed to draw bright young men and women who are eager to give their fresh viewpoints, creative ideas, and most recent research findings in the areas of focus for FAO. The duration is this programme is between three (3) and eleven (11) months.
The aim of the organization is to supplement students’ academic knowledge with practical experiences. Some of the countries for assignments include, Italy, Pakistan, Hungary, Thailand, Somalia, Albania, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Bangladesh and many other locations.
Suitability:
- To qualify, you must be a national of FAO members
- At the time of application, candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate graduate degree course in an accredited University. Recent graduates are also allowed to join
- Applicants must have a working knowledge of at least one of the following languages: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese or Russian. It is a plus if you have a working experience with more than one of these languages
- You should be between the ages of 21 – 30 at the start of your internship
- Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, be able to adjust to a multicultural, international work environment, and know how to utilise basic computer programs.
- Prior to the start of the traineeship, applicants must have their residency or immigration status approved in the country of assignment
