The LPI Summer internship Program in Planetary Science for 2024 is currently open for applications. Individuals who have research interest in planetary science can grab this opportunity to gain valuable knowledge in the said field.
The Programme in Planetary Science is a great chance for undergraduate students to do advanced research, learn from experienced planetary scientists, and explore potential careers in this field.
During the 10-week internship, students will have the chance to take part in various enrichment activities. These activities include attending lectures and participating in career development workshops.
Eligibility:
- Candidates should be undergraduate students with 50 semester credits hours
- Applicants with specialisation in the following areas are preferred for this program:
- Mathematics
- Physical and Natural Sciences
- Engineering
- This opportunity is open to international from all over the world
- Interns will be chosen based on their academic achievements, prior experience, coursework, scientific interests, career aspirations, and enthusiasm for research projects.

- Up-to-date Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Two (2) reference letters
- Language proficiency test results (IELTS/TOEFL) or a letter from your university testifying your proficiency in English
- Valid passport
Benefits Of This Internship:
- Interns will receive up to $8,220 for the duration of the program. This money will cover the following:
- Accommodation
- Living expenses
- Travel
- Internship stipend
- Those who are able complete the internship and submit their abstract as first authors to the upcoming Lunar and Planetary Science Conference will receive $1000 to defray travel expenses.
