About UNFPA
The primary UN organisation working to ensure that every pregnancy is desired, every delivery is safe, and every young person’s potential is realised is UNFPA. The three transformative outcomes of UNFPA’s strategic plan (2022–2025) are to eliminate gender-based violence and harmful practices; to end unmet family planning needs; and to stop needless maternal deaths. The plan also reinforces the relevance of UNFPA’s existing strategic orientation. Our strategic commitments to expediting the SDGs and ICPD’s realisation in the Decade of Action leading up to 2030 are reflected in these results.
