A bold cleaner was caught stealing from a British family’s room in a Benidorm hotel. Alastair and Sue Conner noticed items were disappearing and installed secret cameras.
Footage showed the cleaner rummaging through their belongings and pocketing items.
The couple estimated that around €750 worth of items were taken. These include €385 in cash, €100 in perfume, and 260 cigarettes. Sue, a 53-year-old finance director, vocalized her stun after their discovery.
Sue also noted that some things that were in their bags have also gone missing.
The couple set up the covert recording system during lunch and were horrified to witness a staff member searching through their luggage.

Alastair, 47, said he felt a range of emotions, from excitement to disbelief, stating, “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was disgusted.”
The couple booked their holiday through Jet2 and reported the what occurred. Jet2 apologized, stating they were sorry and disappointed, and mentioned that the hotel took action against the staff member.
They presented Mr. and Mrs. Conner ” with an appropriate gesture of goodwill,” but the couple insisted on a full refund. They rejected anything less than the €750 stolen.
The family felt violated, with Sue discussing her mortification over the intrusion into their private drawers.
The Spanish police and Magic Natura, the hotel, are yet to speak on the incident.
The Conners, who spent £5,500 on the holiday, stated they couldn’t enjoy it and demanded a resolution to the unsettling occurrence.
