Zodiac is an astrological term which refers to a belt of the heavens within about eight degrees either side of the ecliptic, including all apparent positions of the sun, moon and most familiar planets. It is divided into twelve equal divisions or signs.

Zodiac signs and zodiac elements are inseparable. Zodiac comprises of four elements and these elements are Fire, Earth, Water and Air.
Three of the zodiac signs falls under one of the zodiac elements.
For instance;

To determine your zodiac sign, your birth date is of great importance. Your date of birth is what guides you in knowing your zodiac sign.

In knowing your Zodiac sign, the year in which you were born doesn’t matter. All that matters is your birth day and birth month.
e.g. If your date of birth is 2nd December, 1995, your Zodiac sign is Sagittarius.
This is because according to the table above, people having Sagittarius as their Zodiac sign are people born between November 22 and December 21 and your birth year doesn’t matter here.
Likewise, if you were born on May 30, your Zodiac Sign is Gemini because Gemini is between May 21 and June 21.
As explained earlier, it is necessary to take note as to what your zodiac sign represent based on the zodiac elements it constitutes.
