What is Call Waiting?

It is a telecommunication service offered by a telephone service provider to a network subscriber by which the subscriber may suspend a telephone call already in progress to accept a second call.

In simpler terms, a smart service action whereby someone making a phone call is notified of an incoming call on the line that they are already using, and is able to place  the first call on hold while the second is answered.

What is the Use of Call Waiting?

  • It enables you switch between multiple calls at the same time. You can handle multiple calls at the same time.
  • When activated, you are notified by a beep or similar if you receive another call. It is then on you to either accept the incoming call or decline it.
