Outspoken entertainment critic Mr Logic has remarked if betting is sin then banking is sin too following recent discussions on the position of the gospel and betting.
Mr. Logic believes that betting is not sinful.
In a recent submission he made on the well-known Ghanaian radio station Hitz FM, he discussed whether or not betting is sinful and made this statement.
He asserts that betting is in no way sinful and that anyone who has ever thought of betting in that way has made a grave error. He concluded by asserting that if betting is sinful, then banking must also be.
He stated in his submission; “It’s not wrong to gamble. It is an arthritic custom. The Ten Commandments are a list of the sinful behaviors that God condemns.
“Banking also counts as sin if betting does.”
Celestine Donkor revealed that she had a proposition from a betting company asking to do business with her.
The corporation claims to have been persuaded by the gospel singer’s influence to hire her, although she first sought opinions from the Christian community.
“Hmmm, PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ME” as she posted a screenshot with a message that reads “A FOREIGN BETTING COMPANY, they Like my numbers and want me to advertise for them on my pages for the cool amount stated below”, she wrote.
“Question is, Should I accept? To be honest, It’s not easy to be a gospel artiste. It is so difficult to get sponsorship and investment deals….This is not because we don’t have the numbers.
“In this current harsh economy, this money would help a lot to push my ministry, But, How would the Christian community react if a gospel musician is chosen as an ambassador for a betting company or an alcoholic beverage?” she asked.
