The date for the release of results of the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) has been revealed to the public in a recent interview.
The Junior High School (JHS) BECE Examinations 2022, was held from Monday, October 17th , 2022 to Friday, October 21st , 2022. To date, the results for the exams has not yet been released and this has sparked few questions about when the results will be released.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ministry of Education, Kwasi Kwarteng, in a recent interview on JoyNews AM show, has revealed as much information about the 2022 BECE results.
When will the BECE 2022 Results be Released?
According to the PRO, the BECE results should be released on or around January 19th, 2023, per inquiries with WAEC.
The Ministry is willing to allow first-year SHS students begin classes early, the official noted.
Thus, BECE candidates will be assigned to their respective Senior High Schools (SHSs) a little earlier than in previous years, following the release of the results. To allow students to begin classes much earlier, the consideration is moving the start date from March to February.
In addition, he instructed 2022 BECE candidates and parents to view their school placements online after they were made available. Also, it was disclosed that there would be manual provisions in place for those who were not successfully placed through the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS).
Recently, GES released information on the CSSPS 2023 verification of students’ school choices for candidates and parents to take note and verify school choices.
