Role Purpose:
The role of the Procurement Manager is to support the Manager to plan, manage and execute budgets under all categories with the view to fulfilling stakeholder objectives on time, in full, to specification and within budget whiles ensure full compliance to policies and processes. This includes collaborating with other team members in order to deliver on this remit.
Key to success in this role is the application of competencies and skills in strategy, strategic sourcing, finance, accounting and law.

The key objectives of the role:
- Creating value by continuously innovating and seeking new supply sources and opportunities.
- Assuring continuous availability and security of supplies and supply sources,
- Protecting the brand and mitigating all potential and real Risks
- Delivering consistent and sustained savings against available budgets
Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning
- Conduct spend analysis to determine the top 20% spend categories and top 20% suppliers.
- Conduct a needs assessment for relevance by ensure a proper specification of the need and sustainability of the requirement.
- Maintain a procurement action plan of annual operating plan

Supplier Relationship Mgt.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships with suppliers in the industry
- Identify potential suppliers, pre-qualify, enlist and audit them throughout the relationship
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier log
Sourcing Strategy
- Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies for each material/spend category to ensure that the company is sustainable creating value and retaining savings
Requirements:
- Degree in Procurement Management with 6-7years’ experience in the supply chain environment. A significant part of this should have been spent in a
- Procurement Manager role in the marketing and event industry.
- A CIPS certification will be an advantage.
- A clearly demonstrated experience in the application of strategic sourcing and supply chain management concepts, materials management and people management.
- A working knowledge of the R2P process and their accounting implications is essential.
- Must demonstrate strong planning, interpersonal and organizational skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate a consistent record of achieving results, exceptional integrity, positive attitudes and behaviours, excellent analytical skills.
