Ghana’s Budget for World Cup 2022 has been Revealed in Parliament with regards to preparations and participation.
The recently revealed budget has recently become the talk of the day as many are sharing opinions on how things are being managed.
Listed below is Ghana’s spending plan for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar:

Qualification: $15m
- Received by GFA to augment participation of Black Stars after their qualification.
Group Stage: $9m
- For group stage participation in the tournament covering three games against Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea
Round of 16: $13m
- Prize money after Progressing from group stage to Round of 16
Quarter Finals: $17m
- Prize money in creases when we qualify to the quarter finals
Semi-Finals: $42m
- Amount to be received as prize money after progressing to the last four
Expenditure
Group Stage: $8,166,200 m
- Estimated cost of group stage appearance
Round of 16: $8,792,600 m
- Expenditure for round of 16
Quarter Finals: $9,512,200 m
- Our expenditure increases from $8,792,600 million at the quarter finals
Semi-Finals: $14,184,100 m
- Total expenditure accrued by as at semi final stage
The plan Ghana has in place to get ready for Qatar 2022 is proceeding as planned. The government is providing the necessary resources and facilitation across relevant areas through the Ministry of Youth and Sports in order to achieve a memorable participation and performance. This includes the technical team, the playing body, organized support, and the backing of the entire nation.
