Outstanding non-EEA/non-EFTA students enrolled in a full-time master’s degree program at Leiden University are eligible for the Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS).

Eligibility Criteria
- Students must have received top grades in their prior study or specialty.
- Your undergraduate program of study must be pertinent to the Master’s degree you are applying for.
- You has applied for to master’s degree program at the aforementioned institution/university
- In the part of your online application designated to Leiden University Excellence Scholarships, indicate your intent to apply a LExS
- With the exception of students applying for the LLM Advanced Studies programs or the MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy, for which there are no nationality restrictions, applicants must have a non-EEA/non-EFTA* passport and may not be eligible for support under the Dutch system of study grants and loans

Benefits:
The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship has 3 awards:
- Successful applicants will receive € 10.000 of the tuition fee
- A tuition fee of € 15.000 will be awarded to students
- Students can have a total tuition fee without statutory tuition fee
Documents Required
- You are required to upload your LExS motivation letter.
- Submit a PDF document with a maximum of 500 words explaining why you should be given the award.
