Chidera John, a fresh biochemistry graduate with first-class honors from the Federal University Otuoke in Bayelsa, Nigeria, has left this world due to a gruesome accident.
The news of her untimely passing came out just days after her graduation celebration.
Jerry Godsent, a fellow student from the same institution, posted this grievous news on Facebook on October 16. It was only 12 days after Chidera’s graduation.
Hailing from Abia state, Chidera had experienced the loss of her father. He was laid to rest on September 21, 2023, shortly before her own tragic accident. She was the only child, leaving her mother to cope with an unimaginable loss.
The loss of this bright and promising young woman has saddened the entire community, along with her family and friends. Chidera’s academic excellence and graduation had filled the hearts of those who knew her with pride. This amplified the sorrow of her untimely departure.
Details of the accident were not announced. Nonetheless, the melancholy was visible in Jerry’s post. Chidera’s memory will undoubtedly live on as a shining example of academic accomplishment.
