Gospel musician Sonnie Badu, based in the UK, had foot surgery following an injury from his fresh accident.
While cleaning, he slipped on stairs, injuring his foot between the garden and metal rails. Promptly taken to Leicester Hospital, Sonnie Badu underwent a two-hour surgery on his toe without sedation. An adept team of eight doctors ensured a speedy recovery.
He’s already up and doing regardless of the injury. He is attributing it to God’s grace. Sonnie Badu apologized for his absence, assuring fans that the upcoming concert on December 9, 2023, in Accra, Ghana, would proceed as planned at the Grand Arena.
He shared that the injury and the surgery have stirred memories of a tragedy that took his grandmother’s life. He is however optimistic and grateful for the support.
“Beloved, I wish to announce that I was involved in a domestic accident yesterday and had to undergo a major surgery. By the grace of God, I am doing well and recuperating. I want to wholeheartedly apologize to the Churches and media houses that expected my presence in the last day and got disappointed. In the name of Jesus, I want to assure the good people of Ghana and everywhere else that *‘Sonnie Badu Live In Concert – Rhythms of Africa’* would still come off on Saturday, Dec 9, 2023.
Grab your tickets and come witness the glory and presence of God. The devil really tried it, but we only win »
