The newly elected national executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has sound a word of caution to the ruling government.
The NDC has clearly stated that they are more than ready to seize power from the ruling party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following what they purport to be the abysmal performance of the government.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in power that the newly elected national officials are eager to give their life to seize power from the NPP in the 2024 elections.
The former general secretary of the NDC thanked the delegates for their tremendous support in his winning speech and predicted that the new leaders would depose the NPP in the 2024 election.
“We are prepared to sacrifice everything and I mean everything including our lives to achieve victory,” Mr. Asiedu Nketiah said, adding that “wherever impunity becomes law, resistance becomes a duty. Looking at the array of executives elected today I have no doubt the party wants us to carry the battle to the elephant, we cannot let the country, and we cannot let the party down.”
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), according to former NDC Chairman Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, would win the general elections in 2024.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo, who was running for reelection, said at the NDC’s delegates’ congress to pick new executives on Saturday, December 17, at the Accra sports stadium, “In 2024 we will seize not only parliament but government from the NPP.”
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo was being contested by the outgoing General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
