The Ghana National Fire Service has disclosed that prank calls have been on the rise lately. In a parley on Joy News, a fire officer said that there have been over 600,000 cases of prank calls in the last month.
He stated that some people even go to the extent of masturbating after calling their phone lines. “People call and when they hear the female call reps voice you hear them jerking off.”
The Fire Service Officer also spoke of people calling to sing and saying all manner of uncomfortable things. “People call and they’ll be singing. Someone will call and tell you my wife’s private part is on fire come and quench it.”
He also encouraged parents monitor their phones because they sometimes receive calls from kids who insult some of their reps.
Apparently, the Fire service officer was not happy about prank calls and how they could be at the detriment of someone who genuinely needs helps since incoming calls can’t be received when there’s someone on the line.
In conclusion, he also made a plea for an end to attacks on officers. He broadcasted that these attacks instill fear in them and hinder their ability to work for the betterment of the community.
