Sam Safo, also called Showboy, has been deported to Ghana after serving a six-year prison term for stabbing Junior US.
In March 2019, Showboy was sentenced to six years in prison for stabbing Junior US during a quarrel in the United States. After surviving the stabbing, Junior US was killed in a robbery in 2021, with suspicions pointing to Showboy’s associates.
He has now been released from prison. To that effect he shared a video of his return to the shores of Ghana. In the footage, he partakes in a ceremonial cleansing at the beach.
“I am back to pay homage to all the gods and my ancestors. I am back,” he declared in the video.
In the accompanying caption, Showboy confirmed the toll on his mental health during the ordeal. He also phrased his appreciation to everyone who backed him up.
His return to Ghana is a new chapter for him to build and develop his life again. In spite of the ordeals, he paid respect to his ancestors.
The video is a proof of his readiness for a fresh start and a reconnection with his homeland.
