Sam Safo, a Ghanaian artist and socialite known as Showboy, has been deported to Ghana after serving a six-year prison term for stabbing Junior US.
In March 2019, Showboy was sentenced to six years in prison for stabbing the Ghanaian musician during a quarrel in the United States.
After surviving the stabbing, Junior US was tragically killed in a robbery in 2021, with suspicions pointing to Showboy’s associates.
Recently released from prison, Showboy shared a video on social media capturing his return to the shores of Ghana. In the footage, he partakes in a ceremonial cleansing at the beach.
“I am back to pay homage to all the gods and my ancestors. I am back,” he declared in the video.
In the accompanying caption, Showboy acknowledged the toll on his mental health during the ordeal. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him.
This return to Ghana marks a new chapter for Showboy. Despite the challenges he faced, he made a symbolic return to his roots by acknowledging his ancestral ties.
The video signifies his readiness for a fresh start and a reconnection with his homeland.
