Some traders in Kumasi have lamented over their poor sales during such a festive season after an interaction with them.
Traders in Kumasi have attributed their low sales during Christmas to radio stations not playing carols.
According to the traders, it has been unusual of radio stations in the city not playing carols as opposed to what have been accustomed to over the years.
They believe this posture of the radio stations does not motivate listeners to be in the Christmas mood, hence the low patronage of their goods.
Over the years, traders have targeted end of year to make a lot of sales. Truly speaking, Christmas and like other festive seasons or days are that time of the year traders receive boom in sales.
However, there seems to be a different case this year in Kumasi. While the traders are blaming radio stations for not sensitising consumers enough, others believe it is the insensitive nature and the iron-willness of traders to reduce prices of goods that is to blame for their low sales.
