Telecommunications giant MTN Ghana has announced an Update of New charges to their services which is expected to take effect Starting November 14, 2022.
The telecommunications giant that controls the vast majority of the Ghanaian market has sent out a text message informing customers about the impending increase in charges.
In a recent press release, MTN Ghana has given a gist and given detailed explanation on how the data charges are going to be increased for customers to be aware before hand.
According to the said announcement, the review covers data bundle offers available on the short code 138 &170, as well as purchases through Electronic Voucher Distribution (EVD), MT Pulse, and Data Zone except for XtraTime.
With this review, mobile data customers will get less data bundles for the same price.

This price increase does not apply to Fiber Broadband and Fixed Wireless Access (4G Router / Turbonet) customers.

Also, customers will continue to enjoy the 50% bonus incentive on MyTN App & MoMo (valid for 7 days) for 4G customers.
Reasons for Increase in Charges
Explaining the reason for the update in the MTN Ghana the Data Bundle prices or charges, the Chief Commercial Officer for MTN, Mr. Noel Kojo-Ganson stated the review was necessary due to economic changes that have increased business and operations expenses.
The new data charges of MTN Ghana update will take effect from November 14, 2022.
