John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah, who have shared a camaraderie spanning many years and have worked together in the film industry, seem to have hit a rough patch in their friendship, with deep cracks now becoming visible.
Fred Nuamah had served as the best man at Dumelo’s wedding. Just a few weeks ago, Dumelo publicly stated that Nuamah was no longer his friend. This statement has left many shocked.
Dumelo explained that he felt betrayed by Nuamah, who he claimed had stabbed him in the back by deciding to contest the Aywaso West parliamentary primaries against him, despite knowing from the onset that he had similar intentions.
Dumelo’s sights are firmly set on winning the Ayawasi West Wuogon constituency parliamentary seat in 2024, but he must first overcome the obstacle of Fred Nuamah, which seems to be a significant challenge.
Many residents of SALL in the Oti region had expected Dumelo to represent them in parliament. They see it as a guarantee for victory.
When asked whether he had given Nuamah his blessings with witnesses present, Dumelo replied in the negative. This further fuels rumors of a fallout between the two.
How the situation plays out is yet to be seen. It is clear is that there seems to be a deep-seated rift between the two.
