ECG Prepaid Issues: Challenges with Purchase of Electricity Credit

The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has informed the general public of the decision to close down it’s offices for 4 days.

This reason backing this decision is to observe the statutory holidays during the Christmas and New Year seasons.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public that, in observance of the statutory holidays during the Christmas and New Year seasons,” they stated.

Affected Days

ECG’s offices will closed for business for the following days:

  • Monday, 26th December, 2022
  • Tuesday, 27th December, 2022
  • Monday, 2nd January, 2023
  • Monday, 9th January, 2023

With the intention to close down it’s Offices for 4 days, Customers of ECG and the general public are however assured they can purchase electricity credits through the ECG Mobile App (POWER APP), or a private vending point. Prepaid customers are also advised to purchase enough electricity credits to carry them through the Christmas and New Year holidays.
