For the past couple of days, customers who have wanted to buy credits to their Electricity Prepaid Card have been advised that they cannot do so due to a lack of network connectivity at the vendor’s location. This trend has persisted in numerous regions, eventually leading to the closure of some ECG outlets.
ECG Prepaid Meter Issues
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced challenges associated with the purchase of Electricity Credit at certain places in the country. According to the Electricity company, purchase of power has been disrupted by technical challenges.
Prepaid meters have been impacted by the technical problems, according to ECG.
Regions/Areas Affected:
It has spread to the regions of Volta, Kumasi, Accra, Takoradi, Tema, Cape Coast, Kasoa, Winneba, Swedru Koforidua, Nkawkaw, and Tafo.
The Electricity Company of Ghana, ECG has assured affected customers to note that their ICT system is working assiduously to correct the anomaly and restore the system to normalcy.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this technical challenge” the announcement added.
However, they did not give any duration or details of when the problem will be fully rectified. We hope the problem gets solved as soon as possible.
