According to a source close to the family, deputy minister of finance, John Kumah, has passed on. The minister had been receiving medical attention for a while now in Germany until he unfortunately kicked the bucket in the early hours of March, 7, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Apostle Lilian Kumah and six children. Dr. Kumah was also a lawyer and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience. He was also the current member of parliament for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region.
As a result of his expertise in entrepreneurship, the late minister worked as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP). His leadership saw NEIP train 7,000 startups in 2018.
Prior to government appointment, the man was a founding member and managing partner of a law firm, Aduaprokye Chambers. In addition, the late member of parliament established Majak Associates Ltd which is a building and construction company.
Furthermore, Dr Kumah was noted for holding numerous educational accolades. Notable amongst them are, a Doctorate in Business Innovation from the Swiss Business School in Switzerland and a Masters in Applied Business Research.
Minister John Kumah passed away at 45 years old of age.
