Car set ablaze on University of Ghana campus as Commonwealth Hall and Sarbah Students Clash. There were reports of a fire in the Mensah Sarbah Hall parking lot after the Vikings and the Vandals fought last night.

Residents at the University of Ghana’s Commonwealth Hall are known as Vandals, whereas those in Sarbah Hall are known as Vikings.

According to reports, Sarbah Hall residents apparently celebrated ‘Sarbahfest,’on Friday.

To this, residents of the hall sang Jama songs and went on a procession as part of the celebrations of the ‘Sarbahfest’.

It is alleged that as they were happily singing their Jama and going on procession, one of them had wandered into the Commonwealth Hall, where he suffered severe beatings and had his phone taken from him.

The beaten Viking is claimed to have returned to his hall to report the incident. They then followed him to the Commonwealth Hall, where they got into a fight. This caused a huge riot on University of Ghana Campus.

Reports say that the riot was put out of its misery by the timely involvement of the police.

As an effect of this riot or clash, a car has been set ablaze on University of Ghana campus.
