Flood causes severe damage in parts of Accra on Monday Evening. Vim Lady Laments on the Situation as she compares Accra in 1960 to Accra in 2022.
Ghanaian media personality, Afia Pokuaa of Despite Media Group popularity known as VIM Lady has expressed displeasure over the retarded development in the country with regards to issues related to floods.
On social media, the media personality, posted a picture of a severe flood in Ghana captured in the Daily Graphic in 1960 and then compared it with a picture of the recent flood on Monday.
Vim Lady in the post, was not to be happy with the fact that since 1960, 62 years now, there hasn’t been any significant changes to ensure that the severe damages in the country is taken care of.
The lives of some people are potentially in danger and properties keep getting damaged anytime there comes a flood or heavy downpour in some parts of the country.
The Flood in Accra on Monday
On Monday, areas including; Kasoa, Kaneshie, Teshie, Dansoman, Kwame Nkrumah Interchange (Circle), Asylum Down and Adabraka amongst others, were heavily affected by the floods.
The heavy downpour displaced numerous people and ruined the homes and businesses of many people in the affected areas.
To this effect, Vim Lady has criticized and called on the government to help do what is right, to solve important issues for the country.
