An Assistant Commercial and Business Development Analyst is needed for the role at West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo).
Description:
Development & Administration of the WAGP Tariff
- Supports preparation for Tariff Period Reviews, including development of Designated Tariff Parameters, making of Tariff submissions, dialogue with West African Gas Pipeline Authority (WAGPA), WAPCo shareholders and stakeholders
- Responsible for maintaining and documenting the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) Tariff Model
- Accountable for administration of tariff, determination of annual adjustments and surcharges, and making notifications to shippers
- Chosen to provide commercial information for filing of regulatory reports to WAGPA and for coordinating periodic discussions
- Coordinate meeting materials for engagements with the Committee of Ministers
Manage and Operationalize Existing Agreements
- Work with shippers and interconnecting pipelines to coordinate day to day gas movements and to ensure obligations under Gas Transportation and Interconnect Agreements are satisfied
- Monitor credit exposure to shippers and implement payment protocol models as appropriate to mitigate credit risk and ensure timely payment
- Organize periodic coordination meetings with producers, transporters and shippers so as to address and mitigate challenges along the value chain
- Maintain good relations and engage with value chain stakeholders to resolve inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Finalize, implement and administer the WAGP Network Code
Working Experience and Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration or Economics.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant commercial and business development experience preferably in energy.
- Experience in pipeline transportation desirable. MBA preferred.
