The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), in collaboration with the Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana Police Service and Ghana Health Service, is conducting a recruitment program. This hiring phase is meant to reduce the rising rate of unemployment in the country.
Basic Requirements:
To qualify for one of these positions, you must fall within this category of people:
- Be within the ages of 18 to 35 years
- Have a minimum qualification of Senior High School Education

1. Prison Office Assistants
Those who will hold this position would work directly under the Prisons Service. In this role, priority, will be given to applicants with NVTI certification and/or Artisanal skills.
2. Community Police Assistants
As a role holder, you would be recruited into the Community Protection Assistants module. This position serves as a helping branch for the Police Service.
3. Community Health Workers
Working under the Health Service, recruited persons will be posted to perform their duties strictly within the communities they reside.
In this role, you are not a medical professional; rather, you are a selected member of the community who has been given basic training to act as a service delivery link between the various communities and service delivery points. Thus, supporting the work of community health nurses and community health officers.
To be eligible for this position, you must have passed both English and Mathematics in your WASSCE. In addition, you must be fluent in English and at least one local dialect. Finally, candidates should have the ability to use (or learn to use) a smart phone.
Condition Of Application
- Successful applicants will be engaged as beneficiaries of YEA.
- Beneficiaries would be on two (2) years contract of engagement.
