The Role

The Principal is in charge of both the academics and the running of the College.The Vice-Chancellor tells the Principal that he or she is in charge of leading the College and making sure that it runs efficiently and has good governance. This is in line with the policies and procedures set out in the Act and Statutes of the University of Education, Winneba.

The Person

• A world-renowned researcher with Professorial Status
• Someone who has a Ph.D. in Education, Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
• A well-known scholar who can inspire and lead his or her team
• A person with a strong work ethic, good leading skills, good organizational skills, and a good sense of business.
• must not be wrong in any way.
• An important, honest person with good communication and people skills and the ability to handle and control a crisis.
• Visionary, business-minded, and able to build relationships between the University and business. Sober, mature, and driven to make fair and sound decisions.
• Be able to get awards and money for the college’s research and development projects
• Be able to carry out the College’s policy choices.

Additional Information 

This is a full-time job. The person who gets the job should be able to work for at least four years (1 October 2023 to 30 September 2027) before they have to retire at age 60. The person who gets the job is scheduled to start on October 1, 2023.
